KING, N.C. – August 28, 2008 – Northern Triad Soccer Club-King Youth Soccer League will receive support in the form of both funds and equipment from Stokes Tire & Automotive, Inc. of King and the Uniroyal® Soccer Program. Beginning on September 5 , children will receive a certificate good for a free soccer ball that can be redeemed at Stokes Tire & Automotive, Inc..
Throughout its nine-year history, the Uniroyal Soccer Program has been partnering tire dealers with youth soccer leagues as an effort to strengthen communities. The program and participating dealers have donated nearly $11 million in funds and equipment, including over 818,000 soccer balls, to youth sports programming across the country.
Soccer families also have the opportunity to enter Uniroyal’s “Soccer to Go” sweepstakes. The grand prize includes a mobile gaming system for the winner’s car, tires, a gas card, and a donation of $1,000 to their child’s soccer league; the first prize includes tires and a donation to the winner’s soccer league. The 96 SPIRITS “FORMERLY STOKES SPIRITS” AFTER TWO SUCCESSFUL CHALLENGE SEASONS WITH A REGULAR SEASON RECORD OF 26-5-5 AND A TOURNAMENT RECORD OF 13-4-1 WITH THREE CHAMPIONSHIPS AND ONE RUNNER UP FINISH IN 5 TOURNAMENTS WILL BE MOVING UP TO PLAY AT THE U12 GIRLS CLASSIC LEVEL THIS FALL.
We WILL BE HOLDING OPEN TRYOUTS FOR FIELD PLAYERS AND GOALKEEPERS ON MONDAY MAY 19TH
AND TUESDAY MAY 20TH AT THE NTSC SOCCER COMPLEX IN KING, FROM 6:30-8:00PM. REGISTRATION WILL TAKE PLACE ON MONDAY APRIL 28TH AT KING PUBLIC LIBRARY FROM 6:30-7:30. A NONREFUNDABLE TRYOUT FEE OF 20.OO WILL BE DUE AT REGISTRATION.
